It appears PSE discovered McMorris and Krista-Simone Clark committing fraud in the middle of their business' bankruptcy. Michigan’s laws give the state the authority to prosecute individuals and businesses that deliberately falsify documents and notarizations in real property transactions, punishable by up to 15 years in prison and/or a $500,000 fine for each violation. One bill — Senate Bill 252 — makes it a felony to intentionally violate state Notary laws when notarizing documents involving real property or a mortgage transaction, punishable by up to four years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
