BROWN GOES TO DETROIT CITY COUNCIL
ABOUT RIGHT TO COUNSEL
On November 1, 2022, several Detroit organizers went to the Detroit city council to demand funding for the city's Right to Counsel ordinance. During the public comment, Taura Brown spoke out about real estate broker and accused scumlord Gaston Munoz's thousands of dollars in unpaid blight tickets and the effort he makes NOT to pay them. Brown also spoke about comrade Jorge Flores and the defamation lawsuit filed against him by Munoz.
Immediately thereafter, Detroit's Building Safety and Environment Engineering Department (BSEED) began making visits to Brown's home. Because Brown was in compliance, she was not ticketed.

A CRASH ON A SATURDAY MORNING
On November 11, 2022, shortly after the city council comments from organizers, Jorge Flores, community organizer and the first to speak out against Gaston Munoz, was rear ended in his vehicle by a woman named Jelua Alvarado. Alvarado claimed that after hitting Flores, he sexually assaulted her by touching her butt and propositioning her for sex. Flores insisted he was innocent and that Alvarado was lying about what happened.
Many felt that from the very beginning the situation stank of a Munoz setup...

The photo above is Flores accuser and wannabe Facebook and Instagram model/influencer, Jelua Alvarado.
If you watch the court hearing below, you will really get a laugh listening to Alvarado insist "I am the victim" when being questioned by defense attorney Allison Kriger. Kriger caught Alvarado in so many lies and inconsistencies that the prosecutor could not even object.
Nitwit? Liar? Maybe. Victim? Absolutely not!
To willfully crash your vehicle into someone else is crazy. Alvarado could have injured or killed someone.
Several people think Alvarado should be prosecuted. Alvarado, a resident of Ann Arbor came to Detroit to create a car wreck that wasted a lot of law enforcement resources and time. That is indeed criminal.
STATE OF MICHIGAN v. FLORES
On December 6, 2022, Flores went before Judge Kenneth King in the 36th District Court. During the hearing it became obvious that Flores was setup, particularly after watching a video of Alvarado sitting for over an hour in a parking lot near where Flores was working. It was also obvious after a vehicle connected to Munoz met up with Alvarado in the parking lot while she was waiting. After hearing Alvarado testify, NOBODY including Judge King found her to be credible.

ORGANIZERS FIGHT BACK
On November 18, 2022, several organizations gathered in front of the Corktown Munoz Realty office to protest the Munoz's treatment of tenants, his unpaid blight tickets, and the condition of several of his properties.
Munoz did not come out but did fly a drone over the protest and played the song Feliz Navidad by José Feliciano over a very loud speaker.

JERSON RUBEN ANGELES
Please take a minute to read the message below from Dayanara about her partner, Jerson Angeles. He was an employee of Munoz Realty who died of carbon monoxide poisoning while on shift. Allegedly, Munoz refused to allow or contribute to a GoFundMe for Angeles. Sadly, over a year after Angeles' death, his family is still not able to put him to rest. Angeles' body is still in storage at a funeral home.
